Cortisol is known as your stress hormone. Its highest levels are in the morning then reduces dramatically in the evening. This pattern is known as a normal cortisol slope.

People who suffer from chronic stress experience elevated cortisol levels throughout the day, which is an example of an abnormal cortisol slope. If this abnormal cortisol slope continues, then you could experience unwanted symptoms such as increased weight gain and blood pressure, moodiness, fatigue, and imbalanced blood sugar. So controlling your stress is something you should take seriously.
